Biography


Barbara captures her bold and spirited style in every subject she paints. She favors using a pallet knife to add textured elements to each painting of wildlife, landscapes, and figure studies. Whether a pallet knife or brush, she blends contrast, depth and richness into each painting.


Barbara, a native of Virginia, began pursuing her creative side after raising her two sons. Following a career in Interior Design she began to explore painting. She first studied for several years at the Virginia Museum of Art. Barbara expanded her education studying under several gifted local artists including Christaphora Robeers, Robin Caspari, Maggie Siner and Dawn Whitelaw.
